The Lionheart Gardens is one of the internal worksites utilized by Lionheart WORKS. This organic farm is tended to by faculty, students of The Lionheart School, volunteers from the community, as well as our WORKS participants. Participants learn a variety of skills including maintaining sustainable garden practices, recycling, composting, and the science associated with farming. This site provides the opportunity to receive vocational training and potential job placement.
The Gardens also provides community outreach and sales opportunities as the participants harvest, package, sell and deliver produce to local markets and restaurants. Some of the area restaurants that support the Gardens include Table & Main, Osteria, Mattone, Colletta & Superica. We welcome other local restaurants and community partners to inquire about purchasing produce or volunteering at The Lionheart Gardens.
