At Lionheart Works, we are committed to creating a supportive and successful experience for every participant. To ensure the best fit, all prospective participants go through a thoughtful admissions process. This helps us understand your goals, strengths, and needs so that we can determine if our programs are the right match for you.
Lionheart WORKS Admissions Process
Initial Inquiry
Prospective participants (or families/caregivers) begin by completing the inquiry form below. This helps us gather basic information and learn more about interests, goals, and support needs.
Admissions Conversation
After reviewing the inquiry form, our team will call the prospective participant and/or their support network. This is an opportunity to ask questions, share goals, and learn more about Lionheart WORKS programs, structure, and expectations.
In-Person Tour & Program Presentation
Prospective participants and their support teams are invited to visit our training center for an in-person tour. During this visit, we provide a detailed presentation on our services, daily structure, and program offerings, and answer any additional questions. This step helps everyone gain a clear understanding of what participation at Lionheart WORKS looks like. Families are given the written application to take home and complete if they choose to apply
Application Review
Once the completed application is submitted, our team will begin the review process. This review includes contacting references references and reviewing supporting documents, such as the most recent psychological evaluation, relevant transition documents, and any additional materials that help us understand the applicant’s needs and goals.
Visit Day
Once the application review process is complete, applicants who appear to be a potential fit for Lionheart WORKS are invited to participate in a full day at Lionheart WORKS. This experience allows applicants to engage in programming, meet staff and peers, and gain a deeper understanding of Lionheart WORKS services
Admissions Decision
If space is available and the program is a strong fit, we will move forward with enrollment.
Rolling Admissions
We accept applications on a rolling basis throughout the year, which allows you to apply any time and receive timely consideration.
Waitlist Information
In periods of high demand or when programs reach capacity, we may place qualified applicants on a waitlist.
